What changed

Florida Mental-Health Support: 988 and Regional Services. Practical questions, official sources and treatment-specific safety guidance for Florida residents.

Immediate support through 988

The 988 Florida Lifeline is a free behavioral-health support service, available 24/7, that connects Floridians with a trained crisis counselor in their area. Call or text 988 if you need mental-health crisis support. For an immediate medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. Our directory and inquiry forms are not emergency services.

Finding behavioral-health services

The Florida Department of Children and Families contracts for behavioral-health services through regional systems of care called Managing Entities, which can help locate locally available services. Care navigation is separate from emergency response and does not establish ketamine availability, eligibility or insurance coverage.

Florida Medicaid access

Florida Medicaid reimburses for community behavioral-health services, including mental-health and substance-use services. Members should confirm details with their plan and clinician. General behavioral-health coverage is not a promise that a particular ketamine treatment is covered.

Considering specialized treatment

Ask a qualified clinician about established treatments and the risks, evidence and monitoring for any proposed ketamine or esketamine option. A directory listing is not an endorsement or a guarantee of access. Our Florida resource page and town guides provide sources and practical access questions.
