“I normally don’t write reviews, but the exceptional care I received from Oneida Cadavid (Ony) and her team at the Ketamine Clinic of Lakeland (Serenity Mind and Body Solutions) deserves to be shared — especially for anyone struggling with mental health or chronic pain. I served 20 years in the military and retired in 2020. Over that time, I developed several physical and mental health conditions, including anxiety, PTSD, and panic disorder. I’ve been prescribed nearly every “standard” psychiatric medication — SSRIs, SNRIs, and other psychotropic drugs — but I’m medication resistant and often had adverse reactions. For two decades, I was pushed in every direction trying to find relief. In 2023, I tried ketamine injections. They helped somewhat, but they were extremely intense and often put me into what’s known as the “K hole.” After ten sessions, I stopped. In 2025, after moving to Lakeland, my mental health declined sharply. My wife found the Ketamine Clinic of Lakeland and encouraged me to schedule a consultation. I was hesitant because of my past experience, but from the moment I sat down with Ony, it was clear she is a caring, science based, data driven anesthesiologist with deep expertise. She explained everything thoroughly, answered every question, and recommended a six session induction phase using ketamine infusions, not injections. The difference was night and day. The infusions were controlled, gentle, and took place in a calm, relaxing environment. I never experienced the “K hole,” and the pain relief lasted nearly 72 hours after each session. Because I trusted her, I volunteered immediately. I’m grateful I did. The Stellate Ganglion Block was a game changer. I felt instant calm. My constant hypervigilance dropped. I slept more than six hours for the first time in years. My thinking became clearer. My body felt less tense. I finally felt like myself again — able to focus on life instead of just surviving the day. I’m honestly angry that no one recommended this treatment before, but incredibly thankful that Ony did. “What a lifesaver NAD and Ketamine have been for me! I have Lupus, MS, Fibromyalgia and a host of autoimmune disorders that force me to live in chronic pain. My depression stays at bay, my anxiety is manageable and my body is allowing me to do things I haven’t in years. Like a car, I need a tune-up occasionally. Well anesthesia providers are equipped to handle any issues major or minor that (although unlikely) could happen. That gave me greater peace of mind, than going to some psychiatrist office who has very little experience in this area. They always check on you the day after as well to ensure you’re doing ok! They also never make you feel rushed during your visit. They have a number of other services I plan to check out as well.”
